Annapolis "After hours"
As shadows deepen, Three Centuries Tours Colonials will meet your group for a candlelit stroll through town. Along the way you'll pass the Maryland State House oldest in the country in continuous legislative use and site of Washington's resignation from military command, the Maryland Governor's Mansion, and the John Shaw House, home of one of Annapolis' most accomplished colonial craftsmen.
Strolling about the ancient streets, you might encounter the spirit of some longago patriot Maryland's signers of the Declaration of Independence were all citizens of this city their homes still stand here. St. Anne's Church yard is the final resting place of a number of notable early citizens of town, and as you wander through, you may possibly enjoy a more "spectral" type of "spiritual" experience!
Your guide will share some of the "freshest news and latest advice's," or perhaps a lesson in proper dress and deportment as you find yourself in the City Dock area. A bustling port for over 300 years, it remains the hub of activity in Annapolis even today.
After the tour, you may wish to remain in the dock area for
"refreshments,". . .perhaps an Oyster Shooter at
Middleton Tavern, or locally brewed "Aviator Beer" at
McGarvey's Saloon. If sweets are more to your liking, Storm
Brothers Ice Cream Factory can please even the most
discriminating palate!
Candlelight Strolls take approximately 1 hour.
